Timed Events

Timed events let you run races/regattas on any course with a defined finish gate. Riders upload a GPX; we cut each track from the exact start time to the first crossing of the finish gate and compute the same metrics as normal runs.

How it works

1. Create an event and set a finish gate on the map.
2. Set an exact start time once it’s known.
3. Participants upload GPX on the event page.
4. Uploads are processed immediately if the start time is set; otherwise they wait until you set it, then process from the admin page.
5. You can re-calculate all metrics after a start time change or finishg gate change etc.

Anyone can create an event here

Tips

• Upload the best quality GPX you have (higher sample rate = better slicing).
• Make sure your finish gate line is drawn exactly where the fleet will cross.
• You can reprocess uploads any time after changing the exact start.
